Quality Air Services, Inc. opened its doors in 1988 by Robert McSkimming Jr. At the time, Robert saw the necessity for Quality Air Services due to a demand in the industry for a repair station dedicated to high quality at affordable prices.

In 2005, Robert Jr. passed away from complications of hemophilia. Gratefully, Quality Air Services has kept with his vision and strives to provide the best quality service to our customers.

Since the passing of Robert Jr., Quality Air Services has pushed for excellence, not only by implementing processes and procedures to ensure the best quality in the industry, but also by demanding only the best in both ethics and service from our employees.

Richard Burger joined Quality Air Services as the General Manager shortly after Jr.’s passing. Richard’s devotion to quality and excellence continues to motivate Quality Air Services to provide the best quality and service in the industry.

In 2006, Quality Air Services added Bill Hawkins to its team. Bill has a degree in electronic engineering and comes to us after proudly serving our country for seven years as a Navy avionics shop supervisor. Currently, Bill is not only our Chief Inspector but is continuing to support our country as a member of the Army National Guard. Bill’s dedication, knowledge, and leadership will continue to expand our repair station capabilities.

Many changes will be implemented in 2008 that will allow Quality Air Services to continue to grow and meet the challenges of our customers. We are currently in the process of upgrading our software and reviewing all of our procedures, helping us to provide the best quality service and turn times in the industry.

Along with our software upgrades, Quality Air Services will be implementing an exchange program in order to better serve our customers in AOG situations.

This upcoming year will be critical for Quality Air Services to gain a foothold in the aviation industry by increasing our FAA and EASA capabilities which will enable us to provide an expanded pool of testing, repairing and overhauling capabilities.

As the aviation industry progresses we will be gearing our repair capabilities toward newer aviation technologies maintaining our pride in quick turn around times, competitive prices, and a quality airworthiness tag.
